But now is Christ risen from the dead, [and] become the firstfruits of them that slept.

For since by man [came] death, by man [came] also the resurrection of the dead.

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

{"But every man in his own order"=>"Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming."}

Then [cometh] the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed [is] death.

O Heavenly Father, whose presence fills all creation, you are the wellspring of life and the promise of resurrection.

In sorrow and in hope, we come before you. We commend to your loving care the body, spirit, and soul of Pastor Long—our beloved father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and confidant—who has journeyed from this earthly realm.

Lord Jesus, you have said, "In my Father's house are many rooms," and you have gone to prepare a place for us, that where you are, we may be also.

We give thanks for the gift of eternal life through you, our Lord.

Grant Pastor Long rest from his earthly toils and receive him into your glorious kingdom.

Be with us in our grief, and sustain us until we are reunited in your eternal presence.

Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom
and the power,
and the glory,
forever and ever.

Vì nước, quyền,
vinh hiển đều thuộc về Cha đời đời vô cùng.

We commit the body of our beloved pastor Long to the earth, remembering that "we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet."

We believe that as Christ was raised from the dead, so too shall we be raised to new life.

"For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord."
